Criteria: persons having been approved by the Kennel Club to award Challenge Certificates in Irish Terriers, completed their first appointment and have the support of the North of England Irish Terrier Club.
Criteria: Judges who, if invited to judge by a Society, would in principle be approved by the Kennel Club to award CCs in the breed for that occasion.
Breed specialists:
Criteria: Have at least seven years experience in judging ITs and have the support of the North of England Irish Terrier Club; judged a minimum of 50 terriers at least 30 of which should be Irish Terriers and including an Irish Terrier breed Open Show; attended a seminar given by a Kennel Club Accredited Trainer, and passed the relevant examination on Kennel Club Regulations and Judging Procedures; attended a Conformation and Movement “Hands on assessment” conducted by a Kennel Club Accredited Trainer and passed the assessment; attended at least one breed specific seminar run in accordance with the relevant Kennel Club Code of Best Practice and passed an examination and/or assessment where applicable; bred and/or owned a minimum of 3 dogs when they obtained their first entry in The Kennel Club Stud Book (save in exceptional circumstances); stewarded at least at 12 shows (any breed);. and attended during the last three years at least nine from Club Shows (any level) or Championship Shows with IT CCs.
All Rounders:
Criteria: Have at least seven years’ judging experience (any breed) and five years judging experience of ITs; stewarded at least at 12 shows (any breed); attended a Conformation and Movement “Hands on assessment” conducted by a Kennel Club Accredited Trainer and passed the assessment, attended during the last three years at least nine from Club Shows (any level); and/or Championship Show judging with CCs for ITs on offer; and/or Breed seminars; attended at least one breed specific seminar run in accordance with the relevant Kennel Club Code of Best Practice and passed an examination and/or assessment where applicable; judged at least 30 ITs preferably including a breed club open show; have awarded CCs in at least one other breed; have bred and/or owned a minimum of 3 dogs of any breed when they obtained their first entry in The Kennel Club Stud Book (save in exceptional circumstances).
Breed specialists:
Criteria: Have the support of the North of England Irish Terrier Club; owned or exhibited ITs for at least three years; attended during the last three years at least six from Club Shows (any level), and/or Championship Show judging with CCs on offer for ITs, and/or Breed seminars; stewarded at least three shows (any breed), and/or be on the B list for another breed, and/or have demonstrated extensive showing experience.
All Rounders:
Criteria: Have the support of the North of England Irish Terrier Club; attended during the last three years at least nine from Club Shows (any level), and/or Championship Show judging with CCs on offer for ITs, and/or Breed seminars; during the last three years stewarded at least three shows (any breed), and/or have demonstrated extensive showing and/or judging experience including judging at least 8 classes of IT.
Criteria: Have the support of The North of England Irish Terrier Club; have demonstrated a current, active interest in Irish Terriers, e.g. have attended at least three Club Shows within the past five years; Have a basic understanding of judging through exhibiting, handling, stewarding or involvement with show organisation.
