The experimental printed Newsletter has now been distributed to all members. We would appreciate your feedback on whether this is preferred to an email version and also the option of publishing an expanded version in the form of a bound yearbook just once a year.

Irish Terrier Head Studies

This lovely pair of head studies has been given by Marian Lovelace for the club to display.
We understand they came originally from the late Edna Howard Jones of the legendary "Breezy" kennel.

CYSTINURIA IN IRISH TERRIERS

When a genetic test is available breeders can ensure that no more dogs are bred that are
affected with the condition.
Cystinuria is a rare condition -we are appealing for small blood samples
(with veterinary reports and pedigrees) from any affected Irish Terriers that we will facility forwarding to
Dr Prof Leeb's department at University of Berne, Switzerland.

Hyperkeratosis

DNA testing is now being carried out at the UK Laboratory, Animal DNA Diagnostics
(Registered by the Kennel Club).
The test costs £40 plus VAT and can be performed at home using mouth swabs sent to you by:
Animal DNA Diagnostics.
